The company was started by Robert and Eve Williamson in the 1970’s, previous to this Robert left school at 15 and worked at the Co-Op. A couple of years later he joined his Uncle at Gomersal Pit, and began understanding a proper days work by being a Miner.
Robert and Eve always knew they wanted to be self employed and in their late teens bought a milk round which they ran successfully for a number of years. A corner shop was added to the business empire in the late 1960’s and this is when their success in business really took off.
After a number of successful businesses, Robert and Eve took over Ernest Wilsons Business Transfer Agents in the 1970’s which they ran for almost 50 years. Alongside this a large property empire began to build which is now known as Willow Properties, the company we are today.
In 2019 Robert and Eve sold Ernest Wilsons to a plc in order to focus fully on Willow Properties. Our new head office premises in Cleckheaton were developed shortly after and we moved to Willow House in late 2021.
We pride ourselves on a personal touch, knowing all our Tenants very well and enjoying healthy relationships. The Company continues to expand and we undertake a significant number of new acquisitions every year, with no reliance on any lending.
OUR TEAM

ROBERT
Robert founded the business in the 1970s alongside his wife Eve, laying the foundations for what it is today. Alongside this, he successfully ran a business transfer agency which was later sold to a PLC in 2019.
Outside of the business, Robert is passionate about giving back and undertakes philanthropic work in East Africa, helping to provide clean water to remote villages. He also enjoys travelling, his car collection and fine dining.

TAMARA
Tamara has been part of the business since 1998, bringing with her a strong background in banking where she enjoyed a successful career prior to joining.
Within the company, she plays a varied role across different areas of the business. Outside of work, Tamara enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.

JONATHAN
Jonathan joined the business in 1996 and brings extensive industry experience, including his time as a Director and Valuer at a large business transfer agency.
He now oversees new acquisitions alongside supporting the day to day running of the business. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys family time, parkrunning and watching Bradford City.

LEANNE
Leanne joined the business in 2010, following a successful career as a Sales Liaison Consultant. Her dedication and contribution led to her promotion to Associate Director in 2022.
She plays a key role within the team and is known for her commitment and reliability. Outside of work, Leanne enjoys spending time with her family, days out with her little boy and occasionally taking on a half marathon.
NICKY BROWN, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Nicky joined the business in 2024 and supports the smooth running of the office through her day to day administrative work. She previously worked within well known local estate agencies, bringing valuable experience to the team.
Outside of work, Nicky enjoys spending time with her family, wild swimming and starting her day with a 7am ice bath.
